this gallery | | | | Owner : Salim | | Year/Model : 1972 BMW 2002 Targa (VIN # : 2795011) | | Project End Date : 6/27/2004 | | About this restoration : Salim is a Doctor in the Dayton, Ohio area. He has had a passion for 2002's ever since his youth when he saw the cars racing the roads of his native town in Guatemala. Today he has an extensive collection of 02's and this Targa will be the centerpiece. She came to our shop with rust in all the wrong places. We cut out all that bad metal and remade the body so she has her structural integrity again. Then we painted her Mini's Dark Silver and rebuilt her to better than new. | Back to Top |

| | | Owner : Alex | | Year/Model : 1958 BMW 600 (VIN # : 130935) | | Project End Date : 12/16/2003 | | About this restoration : Here's a project with a really neat story. Alex's father used this car as a delivery vehicle for his carry out Broasted Chicken store. When the delivery car met its useful end, it was given to 12 year-old Alex and taken to the grandparents farm so he could learn how to drive. When Alex reached 16 and got his drivers license, he parked the car in one of the barns and there it sat, on a damp dirt floor, for 30 years. Now 46, Alex asked us to see what we could do with her. Although the bottom sheet metal had been eaten by rust, we took her apart and re-built her to brand new. She was displayed at BMW CCA's 2003 Oktoberfest in Austin, Texas where she won First Place in Concours class. Alex told me that as a young man tearing up the farm lanes in this car, he always dreamed of it being red. Thus, it is now the brightest red you've ever seen tearing up the streets of Mundelein, Illinois. | Back to Top |

| | | Owner : Anderson BMW | | Year/Model : 1958 BMW Isetta 300 Convertible (VIN # : 502810) | | Project End Date : 7/1/2002 | | About this restoration : Anderson BMW of Crystal Lake, Illinois purchased this little beauty many years ago. They had started the restoration process - took the car apart - painted the shell and had the engine re-built. The dealership then became very busy and the project sat in a storage rack for some years. We were asked to bring her to the shop and finish the job. We buffed out the paint, checked out the engine and put her back together in award winning condition. This is a very rare example as only one convertible was made for every 1000 sedans made. Today she proudly sits on the showroom floor for all to see. | Back to Top |

this gallery | | | | Owner : Menno | | Year/Model : 1981 BMW M1 (VIN # : WBS59910004301435) | | | | About this restoration : Menno is the quintessential car lover, a true perfectionist! He has a few exotic cars but a couple of years ago he purchased an M1 and fell in love with the styling and the way the car drove. We removed all the US conversion items on that car and returned it back to its' orginial European form. Last year Menno started to think about buying a second M1, and making it into the finest example in the world. The task he presented to us was to build him an M1 that was perfect in every respect; a true show car. What you see here are the results of the challenge. Menno is so excited about this project that he has created his own in depth website. | Back to Top |
